Malana is not just another Himachali village; it is often called a “living museum of traditions.” Tucked away at 2,652 meters, it claims lineage from Alexander the Great’s soldiers and practices one of the most unique democratic systems in the world. The villagers follow their deity Jamlu Devta, and their customs require visitors to admire from a distance without touching walls, houses, or even the people themselves. The journey to Malana is as rewarding as the destination — a trek that offers views of towering peaks, alpine forests, and crisp Himalayan winds. Once you stand in Malana, you’ll feel the timelessness of a community that has fiercely preserved its identity against all odds.

Hidden deep in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh lies Malana, a village often described as one of the oldest democracies in the world and a place that has preserved its culture, customs, and laws for centuries. Surrounded by snow-clad peaks and lush forests, Malana is more than a destination — it’s an experience of stepping back in time, into a community that has remained untouched by the outside world for generations.

This 2 Nights / 3 Days Delhi to Malana itinerary is crafted for explorers who want to immerse themselves in local traditions, trek through scenic mountain paths, and breathe in the pristine Himalayan air.
