As of the 2011 Census, Rajasthan’s population was approximately 68.5 million. The state has a predominantly rural population, with agriculture being the mainstay of the economy. The major communities include Rajputs, Jats, Gujjars, and Meenas, among others.
Rajasthan experiences an arid climate with hot summers, mild winters, and minimal rainfall. The best time to visit is during the cooler months from October to March, when the weather is more conducive for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
Rajasthan boasts a rich cultural heritage, with traditional music, dance, and art forms that reflect its royal history. Folk dances like Ghoomar and Kalbeliya, along with music genres such as Maand and Bhavageet, are integral to the state’s cultural fabric.
