Itinerary
Your journey to Kedarnath and Badrinath begins from Haridwar Our representative will pick you up from Haridwar station or drop you off depending on your arrival time. (We recommend starting between 5 and 6 AM to avoid traffic.) En route, visit important places like Devprayag (where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet) and Rudraprayag (where the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers meet). It will take you around 11 hours to reach Guptkashi from Haridwar, which is a distance of 228 kilometers. By evening, you will reach your hotel. As per your confirmed booking, enjoy dinner in Guptkashi or Phata and enjoy dinner.
The next day, start your day early and drive to Sonprayag from Guptkashi or Phata. Your car will drop you at the Sonprayag parking area. From there, take a shared cab to Gaurikund (cab fare not included). Gaurikund is a holy place where Goddess Parvati is believed to have bathed. There is also a natural hot spring where you can take a bath before starting your trek. From Gaurikund, start your trek to Kedarnath, which is about 15 to 20 km long. It will take you about 8 hours. By late evening, reach Kedarnath. If time permits, you can visit the Kedarnath temple. Enjoy an overnight stay in Kedarnath.
In the morning, visit Kedarnath Temple and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Then, start the trek back down towards Gaurikund. The return journey usually takes half the time of the ascent. From Sonprayag, our driver will pick you up and take you back to your hotel in Guptkashi. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.
After breakfast, start your journey to Badrinath. The drive usually takes about 6 to 7 hours. As its distance is 193 kilometers. Once you arrive, check in to your hotel. Later, visit Badrinath Temple, one of the sacred Chardham pilgrimage sites in Hindu mythology. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Badrinath.
After breakfast, check out from your stay in Badrinath and set out to explore the local attractions. Visit famous nearby places like Mana Village, Bhim Bridge, Vasudhara Waterfall, Saraswati River, Vyas Cave, and Ganesh etc. After exploring these places, start your journey towards Rudraprayag. On the way, you can also stop at Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag and Srinagar at Dhari Devi Temple. By evening, reach Rudraprayag and check in to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
